Reflection

The signs of summer have arrived.  Tall grass blowing, hot sunshine, folks like busy bees humming from place to place.  The uniqueness of flowers blooming in yards and fields.  Beauty in rolling hills majestic mountains and wildlife just hanging out reminding us of the simpler things in life.  The landscape reveals old farms, barns, and equipment just there by roads, sometimes hidden by more modern buildings, and asphalt roads.  There they sit and yet in the hearts of those who look at the lines on their hands and the wrinkles in their skin, they remember a time when all was new and those buildings and pieces were so new and in need.  To talk to someone who has lived those days, they can tell you the great stories of simple life and yet one that was done with hard work and love of the land.  The wind blows those stories of time and leaves just a whisper of those days for us to relish.

Ah the snow of winter at last.

At last I see the light fluffy flakes with starry crystal floating down past my window.  The skiers will jump for joy, the sleds will come out and the merry souls of winter will raise joyous arms to the snow gods for letting the snow genie out of the bottle.  So when you have the time remember those moments, snuggle up to the fireplace and stroll through photos and smile.

Fall is here winter on its way

Fall has erupted into an early winter.  The winds become fierce, the snow starts to fall and the harvest is tucked into freezers and canning jars.  Time for a hot cup of chocolate, a warm muffin and a blanket by the fire.  The decorations are coming out scarecrows linger patiently in our yards and the smell of Thanksgiving turkey will soon grace our tables.  Nothing like a piece of pumpkin pie with lots of whip cream on top.  The corn stalks will dwindle and the snowflakes will fall.  One season of harvest will turn to a season of snowmen, sleds, hats and gloves.  Remember the past photography the memories and have a good ah hah moment.
